Payment/Cancellation Policy

PAYMENTS

All payments for services are due at least 7 days prior to your scheduled start date. Payments can be paid in person or mailed to Stephanie’s Sniffers 1301 S Lewis Ave, Waukegan, IL 60085 or paid via Zelle (stephaniessniffers@outlook.com).

CLASSES

Standard (3-6 week) Classes
  • Any cancellations made at least 7 days prior to your start date will receive a full refund.
  • Any cancellations made less than 7 days before the class start date or after class has begun will NOT be eligible for a refund without extenuating circumstances. A credit for a future class, private and/or other service may be offered in lieu of refund.
  • Up to a $30 processing fee will be kept for any processed refund.
  • We do not offer make up sessions for any missed classes.
  • Full payment is required before you registration will be secured/confirmed.
Drop-In Classes
  • Any cancellations made at least 48 hours prior to your class date will receive a full refund or restoration of your credit used.
  • Any cancellations made less than 48 hours before the class date will not be eligible for a credit refund without extenuating circumstances.
  • Any no shows will not be eligible for a credit or refund without extenuating circumstances.

EVENTS

  • Any cancellations made at least 7 days prior to event will receive a full refund..
  • Any cancellations made less than 7 days before event will not be eligible for a refund without extenuating circumstances. A credit for another service may be offered in lieu of refund.
  • Up to a $50 processing fee will be kept for any processed refund.
  • Full payment is required to register for our events.

PRIVATES

  • Any cancellations made at least 3 days prior to your appointment date will receive a full refund/rescheduling.
  • Any cancellations made less than 3 days prior to your appointment date will not be eligible for a refund/reschedule without extenuating circumstances, in which case a credit for a private may be offered in lieu of refund.
  • Up to a $30 processing fee will be kept for any processed refund.
  • Full payment is required upon booking.

RING RENTALS

  • Any cancellations made at least 24 hours prior to your appointment date will receive a full refund/rescheduling.
  • Any cancellations made less than 24 hours prior to your appointment date will not be eligible for a refund/reschedule without extenuating circumstances.
  • Up to a $30 processing fee will be kept for any processed refund.
  • Full payment is required upon booking.

PACKAGES

  • Any cancellations made within 24-hours of purchase will receive a full refund less any used credits & processing fee.
  • Any cancellations made after 24-hours of purchase will not be eligible for a refund without extenuating circumstances, in which case a credit for another service may be offered in lieu of refund.
  • Up to a $30 processing fee will be kept for any processed refund.
  • Please note that each package does have an expiration date.
    • Private packages with 4 credits expire 2 months after the purchase date
    • Private packages with 8 credits expire 4 months after the purchase date
    • Class packages with 10 credits expire 4 months after the purchase date
    • Class packages with 20 credits expire 8 months after the purchase date

To respect our time, as well as others’, the above cancellation policy is required and strictly adhered to. We do understand that there are times when cancellations will be unavoidable and those will be handled on a case-by-case basis.

Illness

If you or your dog are ill and cannot complete your scheduled service on the day/time it is scheduled, we do require written notice from your doctor or vet to consider your refund request.

Rehoming/Relinquishment

If you rehome or relinquish your dog prior to your scheduled service, please contact us immediately to cancel. We may require written proof of rehoming/relinquishment to consider your refund request.

Weather & Other Acts of Nature

If there is inclement weather and we cannot safely hold the class or private session that day, we will contact you to make arrangement for rescheduling. If you are unable to attend your scheduled service due to weather or other natural disaster, please reach out to us immediately so we can reschedule.

I’m Stephanie

Welcome to Stephanie’s Sniffers. I am a certified Nose Work Instructor (CNWI) through the NACSW as well as a certified Dog Behavior Consultant (CBCC-KA) & Trainer (CPDT-KA).

I started my nose work journey in 2010 and was hooked from day one. I have competed with 4 of my own dogs – Logan, Lance, Leena & Benny. Livvy passed her ORT’s at 6 months old but due to some fear and behavioral challenges we are still working towards competition.

I am hoping to share my passion in nose work & behavior with everyone!
