Inspired by detection dogs, Nose Work is a fun searching activity that is good for all dogs. Even dogs who may not be able to participate in other classes due to fear, reactivity or other challenges have found comfort and fun in the game of nose work! It is the ultimate enrichment activity!
Dogs who may be older and retired from other sports or have physical limitations are also able to play this game. Nose work is easy to start and the game builds confidence and focus while providing a safe way to keep dogs fit and healthy through mental and some physical exercise.
Dogs of any age are eligible for this class. Dogs work alone so even dogs who may not be suitable for “traditional” classes can participate!

What will we learn in class?
In our Intro to Nose Work class, you and your dog will learn all about the game of nose work. Your dog will start by searching for treats hidden in cardboard boxes and progress onto to other containers and objects throughout their first 6-week class.
In our Intro to Odor class, we will introduce your dog to the 3 odors used in nose work competitions. Don’t worry, you don’t have to compete to enjoy this game and classes!
What do I need to do before class?
Your dog doesn’t need any specific skills to start in Nose Work. They do ideally, need to be able to go into a crate with you right there beside them. This allows you to fully engage in class by watching and learning from other teams. We do need your dogs current vaccination records prior to class.
What is your payment/cancellation/missed class policy?
For the 6-week classes there are not any make up opportunities for missed weeks. Once you progress into our drop-in nose work classes, you are able to skip weeks and only attend when you can. As long as you give 48 hours notice, we will refund/credit you if you need to remove your registration for any reason. Please view our cancellation policy.
